auditor general needs to take a pill

MacDonald, you’re out of line! This isn't scary, and the Auditor-General doesn't need to 'take a pill'. This article is showing what Ms. Fraser has to say and plans to do about us exploiting foreign workers in our own country (not any worse than exploiting foreign workers in other countries). The immigration system is governed by provinces, with no sort of regulations set out by the Canadian government, so provinces may let in as many and whichever immigrants that they want to. This also allows businesses to pay and treat foreign workers however they like, which is bad.
Like that one guy said... "If businesses can't survive without exploiting foreign workers, and can't provide jobs to Canadian workers, they shouldn't be in business."
Sheila Fraser is getting this information out and plans to fix it, I'm proud of her.

I disagree with Mr. Mac as this once again highlights the exploitation that can come from foreign employment. If you were to give a Canadian a job that pays such a low wage with a large amount of danger, they would not take it; they would go to their union representative and fight against it. There needs to be a way to protect the rights of foreign workers who come to this country to try to make a better life for themselves and their families. We are a country of immigrants; they should be given a good, free chance to participate in society in an equal fashion just as we are as natural born Canadians. I'm glad that this information is coming out, so that the Government can do something to fight against exploitation.

Sheila Fraser is just pointing out that there is a lot of fraud and exploitation in the Canadian immigration system. She’d basically saying that we are exploiting immigrant workers by paying them minimum, or below minimum, wage for jobs that they should be paid more for, like the ones that are working on the Olympic facilities, especially since construction is dangerous work. I see her point about us exploiting immigrant workers, and I completely agree with her.

^All the above comments pretty much summed up what i want to say.

There is a lot of fraud and exploitation that can and comes from foreign employment and immigration system. We pay them low wages to minimum wages. If Canadians did the same demands as these foreign employee they would want higher wages or demand more safety and regulations and have a union or some sort of group to represent them if they are treated unfairly. Businesses don't like this so they prefer to hire foreign employment. I specifically love this quote ""If businesses can't survive without exploiting foreign workers, and can't provide jobs to Canadian workers, they shouldn't be in business."" - Sheila Fraser.

Aaahhh James! The Auditor-General didn't say that, some guy in the comment section did.

This article is basically about the auditor general realizing that we are exploiting immigrant workers. However this happens not only to immigrant workers but to everyday Canadians as well. as for the workers being paid minimum wage and having no benefits. there are plenty of dangerous jobs that don't come with the perk of benefits. With our crumbling health system this could be a concern but certainly not the biggest concern. personally id agree with Mr.MacDonald's statement, Sheila needs to chill out.
