Igor is pretty stupid. Having minions going out to steal over 2000 bicycles in exchange for drugs, like the city is not going to notice? I think by Kenk paying money from his property good for him, but he should not 'foot the bill' because of transportation and storage that the province wants to do.
Many people put a lot of money/time in buying/restoring bikes. Many people need them to get from point A to point B. But I think the remaining bicycles should not be auctioned off but donated to children homes, get them to start ridin' young.
The article says that none of the bikes were actually reported stolen. And it didn't say if the people who went to claim them bikes had to show a receipt or any kind of proof that it's their bike. They basically just said "Free Bikes!" and let anyone come take whatever they want. No one could prove that Igor stole them, and no one has proved that he is into drug trafficking. So pretty much the only reason he has been in jail for a year is because some random person said that Igor stole them, and then he couldn't prove that he paid for them. So... Igor should be released until they can get some evidence against him. His bikes, parts, trucks and his shop also should be returned to him. Igor should not be stuck with the clean-up bill seen as it was stored on his personal property in the first place. People these days!
Wow, this is really stupid. He's been held in custody for almost a year and they havn't really laid any charges on him. They can't prove the bikes are stolen and they havn't proved that they were stolen for drugs either. How can they have him pay the bill to get rid of the bikes when the courts havn't even ruled that they were stolen in the first place.
They should either go with the idea to sell the bikes or just give them away if they really don't want the bikes just sitting around anymore. I'm sure that if they really want them gone than all they have to do is put a "free" sign on them and people will gladly take them.
